Welcome to the website of the International Conference on Education Research. In 2011, the Conference will be held at the Rio All Suites Hotel in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas is the entertainment capital of the world with over 100 spectacular shows on a daily basis. Witness a parade that hangs from the ceiling at Rio or an epic battle of fire and ice between the gods at The Forum Shops at Caesars. Daily comedy shows transition into evening extravaganzas with top-name entertainment. Dinner theater, magic, comedy, music and full-scale stage productions are all available. Enjoy a round of golf any time of the year within easy reach of the Strip at Rio Secco. Las Vegas is also renowned for its culinary talent. Some of the world's best chefs perform their magic here. See the latest from celebrity chefs like Guy Savoy, Bobby Flay and Bradley Ogden. Go in search of the best steak when you explore your private dining options at the acclaimed Range Steakhouse at Harrah's Las Vegas; travel the world with selections that include the Carnival World Buffet at the Rio.
This conference will draw together faculty, researchers and education professionals from various fields within education and provide them with the opportunity to interact with colleagues from the same and related fields. An additional goal of the conference is to provide a place for academicians and professionals with cross-disciplinary interests related to education to meet and interact with members outside their own particular disciplines. Cross-disciplinary proposal submissions are particularly encouraged as is participation by international scholars.
Participants
are welcome to submit a paper proposal to present either a 30-minute paper
presentation, or to jointly present a
90-minute colloquium session. We try
to organize similar presentations in tracks throughout the conference. The type of papers presented include: research (qualitative or quantitative), theoretical articles, as well as papers
prepared by practitioners that deal with application, best practices, and
case studies.
Due to the
interdisciplinary nature of the meeting, presenters are able to receive
feedback from researchers from a different subfield, often bringing up ideas
or concepts that might otherwise be overlooked in a subject specific silo.
It is a presenter’s conference and we strongly encourage people to attend
sessions through the entire three day conference. The conference
registration fee includes a plated lunch each day of the conference, as well
as an opening night reception, providing attendees an opportunity to meet
and get to know each other.
Speakers at previous related conferences include: Peter Levine, CIRCLE, Richard Niemi, University of Rochester, Carolyn Pereira, Constitutional Rights Foundation, Trey Grayson, Kentucky Secretary of State.
