Welcome to the website of the International Conference on Education Research. In 2012, the Conference will be held at the Hilton at Walt Disney World.

The Hilton in the WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort offers Disney's EXTRA MAGIC HOURS and is located directly across from Downtown Disney® in Lake Buena Vista, FL. Here, restaurant options range from fast-food fare to white-linen service. Entertainment choices include dancing, live music, and a multiplex cinema. Shops offer children’s toys, as well as Harley-Davidson gear and hand-rolled cigars. Downtown Disney ® area’s other appeal is its proximity to both non-Disney and Disney-owned golf courses. Hotel guests will enjoy exceptional facilities at this Disney hotel, AAA's longest-running three Diamond Resort in Central Florida.
This conference will draw together faculty, researchers and education professionals from various fields within education and provide them with the opportunity to interact with colleagues from the same and related fields. An additional goal of the conference is to provide a place for academicians and professionals with cross-disciplinary interests related to education to meet and interact with members outside their own particular disciplines. Cross-disciplinary proposal submissions are particularly encouraged as is participation by international scholars.
Participants
are welcome to submit a paper proposal to present either a 30-minute paper
presentation, or to jointly present a
90-minute colloquium session. We try
to organize similar presentations in tracks throughout the conference. The type of papers presented include: research (qualitative or quantitative), theoretical articles, as well as papers
prepared by practitioners that deal with application, best practices, and
case studies.
Due to the
interdisciplinary nature of the meeting, presenters are able to receive
feedback from researchers from a different subfield, often bringing up ideas
or concepts that might otherwise be overlooked in a subject specific silo.
It is a presenter’s conference and we strongly encourage people to attend
sessions through the entire three day conference. The conference
registration fee includes a plated lunch each day of the conference, as well
as an opening night reception, providing attendees an opportunity to meet
and get to know each other.
Speakers at previous related conferences include: Peter Levine, CIRCLE, Richard Niemi, University of Rochester, Carolyn Pereira, Constitutional Rights Foundation, Trey Grayson, Kentucky Secretary of State.
